Bear Hands is an American post-punk and indie rock band consisting of Dylan Rau (vocals and guitar), Val Loper (bass), Ted Feldman (guitar), and TJ Orscher (drums). Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, and formed in 2006, the band signed with Cantora Records in 2010 upon the release of its single, "What a Drag".〔Rebecca Raber (November 24, 2010) http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/14879-burning-bush-supper-club/〕 After releasing their debut LP ''Burning Bush Supper Club'' in 2010, Bear Hands toured as the opening act for Passion Pit, Gza, and We Were Promised Jetpacks.〔http://cantora.com/artists/bear-hands〕 Their single "Giants" became a top-ten hit on the Alternative Songs chart in mid-2014. ==History== Dylan Rau met Ted Feldman while the two attended Wesleyan University, and were later joined by Loper and Orscher through their previous bands, who were involved in the local Connecticut hardcore punk scene.〔Katie Hastey (July 19, 2008) http://books.google.com/books?id=3RMEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA44&lpg=PA44&dq=bear+hands+billboard&source=bl&ots=iqRbTlf4I4&sig=YVVW_d-G2bPnd1JxQMA-HRZ8KNY&hl=en&ei=bSAHS8eeMYXZlAePsoyFBA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CAgQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=bear%20hands&f=false, Billboard Magazine〕〔Rebecca Nicholson (May 15, 2014). "(Bear Hands: 'It's like a weirdo, twisted marriage' )", ''The Guardian''. Retrieved January 29, 2015.〕 During an interview at SXSW 2010, Orscher was quoted saying "Dylan had some material he wanted to put with a band, and a project Val and I were working on for the last half decade just ended. He said he knew the perfect guitarist and when we met up and played for the first time, as cliche as it may be, everything just clicked. We started writing material together, fleshing songs out and started playing some local shows around NYC. We fight like brothers and love like mothers. The rest is magic."〔Evan Kalikow (February 22, 2010), http://www.spinner.com/2010/02/22/sxsw-2010-bear-hands/, www.spinner.com〕 A few months after forming, the band released their first EP, ''Golden'', and became a "New York buzz band" due to popular blog features. Three years later, the group released their 11-track album, ''Burning Bush Supper Club''. Rau had been classmates with MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser at Wesleyan, leading to Bear Hands appearing as their opening act at two on-campus shows.〔Kevin O'Donnell (October 27, 2010) http://www.spin.com/articles/hear-it-mgmt-pals-bear-hands-debut-album Spin Magazine〕〔Shane Nyman (September 22, 2014) http://www.postcrescent.com/story/entertainment/music/2014/09/21/bear-hands-mill-creek/15893749/ Post-Crescent Media〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Bear Hands」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
